Lecture: Heller on "A Poisoned Chalice: The Substantive and Procedural Defects of the Iraqi High Tribunal"

A week from today, on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, Kevin Jon Heller (Univ. of Auckland - Law) will give a lecture on "A Poisoned Chalice: The Substantive and Procedural Defects of the Iraqi High Tribunal" as part of the LSE International Humanitarian Law Project Lecture Series. The talk "will explore the problems with the trial of Saddam Hussein through an examination of the IHT's unstable mix of international and domestic criminal law." Professor Charles Garraway, who was involved in the drafting of the IHT statute, will be the respondent. For those unable to attend, a transcript and video of the lecture will be available on the IHL Project website.
