SFRC: Law of the Sea Convention, Second Hearing Scheduled

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee announced today that it would hold its promised second hearing on the Law of the Sea Convention in a week, on Thursday, October 4. There will be two panels: the first will include Admiral Vern Clark (Retired, Former Chief of Naval Operations), Professor Bernard H. Oxman (Univ. of Miami School of Law), Frank J. Gaffney, Jr (President, Center for Security Policy), and Fred L. Smith, Jr. (President, Competitive Enterprise Institute); the second will include Paul C. Kelly (President, Gulf of Mexico Foundation), Joseph J. Cox (President, Chamber of Shipping of America), and Douglas R. Burnett (Holland & Knight, LLP).
