ICJ: Request for Interpretation of the Avena Judgment (Now Under Deliberation)

Following its past practice, the International Court of Justice has set the case concerning Request for Interpretation of the Judgment of 31 March 2004 in the Case concerning Avena and Other Mexican Nationals (Mexico v. United States of America) for deliberation on the merits without holding oral proceedings. (ICJ press release here; case materials here.) In accordance with Article 98(4) of the Rules of Court, the parties completed the submission of their further written observations this past Monday. The Court will deliver its judgment in due course.
