UN High Commissioner for Human Rights - Finalists?
Speculation continues as to Louise Arbour's successor as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. According to one source, four persons were recommended to the Secretary-General by the selection panel - Louis Alfonso de Alba (Mexico); Navanethem Pillay (South Africa); Francis Deng (Sudan); and José Ramos Horta (East Timor) - with one of the first two reportedly more likely to get the nod.
