Secretary-General's Second Report on the Special Tribunal for Lebanon
Pursuant to Security Council resolution 1757 (2007), the Secretary-General has issued his second report (S/2008/173) on the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. The report outlines the Tribunal's progress since September 2007 regarding, among others things, the location of the its seat; the appointment of the judges, the Prosecutor, the Deputy Prosecutor, the Registrar, and the Head of the Defence Office; the establishment of the Management Committee; and the transition from the International Independent Investigation Commission to the Tribunal.
