This year, the London-Leiden conference will revisit a theme it explored in 2009: preliminary references at the Court of Justice of the EU (CJEU). The UK's notice of its intention to withdraw from the EU has cast into doubt the future of its relationship with the CJEU, and the fate of the Unified Patent Court. In its 56th year, the London-Leiden meeting on EU will examine the uncertain nature of these relationships, in Sessions I and II, and host a Brexit Roundtable in Session III.
